Football Golf
Samui Football Golf
Also an alternative way to play golf. This is a hybrid between soccer/football and golf in exotic surroundings. The game is a hybrid of football and golf where players attempt to kick a football into the 18 holes in as few strokes as possible. it's an activity that gets you and your family and friends playing, laughing and enjoying the holiday fun together for at least a good hour or so and at the same time you can take a relaxing tropical garden walk around one of old Samui’s beautifully landscaped coconut plantations.
This combination of group fun, a gentle nature walk and some friendly competition is a tricky combination to beat. The course itself has a special design that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Each hole is named after a famous player and the design of the hole signifies that particular player. One word of advice though is to take shoes or just socks even, as playing bare feet is nice on the crisply cut grass but not for those with soft skin. It’s actually better in some ways with socks as you protect your feet on the long shots and you can still putt accurately on the greens. Free soft drinks and cool towels are provided and the coconut plantation provides some nice shade too, so you don’t get too hot or tired while taking in a little holiday exercise.
Free hotel transfers can also be organized from most hotels on the island. However if you’re making your own way the course is very easy to find on the island as it’s situated on the beach road just a ten minute drive north from the main resort town of Chaweng and only 5 minute drive from the Big Buddha coming from the other direction.
Location: North of Chaweng, near Imperial Boat House.

Pool tables and dart boards are found on many bars and restaurants around these islands. You can almost always find someone who wants to join you for a game or two.

Other Activities
Jogging, Walking and Swimming
Many years ago, the ring road was great for walking and running. It still can be, but be very careful as the traffic can be intense. There are also tracks and small roads on the mainland, in the mountains and the jungle. We recommend you to use a Samui map and ask the locals if it is ok to walk or run there. Beach walking and jogging also comes with a tan! But use sunscreen.
Koh Samui Hash House Harriers are located at Red Fox Pub on Lamai and on The Pub in Bo Phut. The members meet up and run about two times per month.
Swimming is of course refreshing in the Gulf of Thailand or in the hotel pool. If you are swimming in the ocean, beware of high waves and sharp corals. Buddy Beer in North Lamai has a rather large pool which is open for the public.

Bicycling
There are some mountain bike tracks on Samui, between Lamai and Chaweng. If you are biking along the Ring Road, be careful. The traffic is very intense.
