Getting There

If you are traveling from Koh Samui, we recommend you to go by a catamaran or a ferry, via Koh Tao. There are ferry piers located in Bo Phut, Maenam and Bang Rak.

If you are coming from the main land by train, bus or plane, it is easiest to go to Chumpon to Koh Tao. The Lomprayah High Speed Catamaran has several departures every day.

What to do?

Relaxation and water sports is probably two most fair answers to this question. Diving and snorkeling is popular, with many good diving sites such as Twin Peak, White Rock and Green Rock. Rock climbing (be careful), kayaking and canoeing are also rather common activities on this "three piece island".

When to go?

The climate here is tropical and usually rather pleasant all year round, but it might rain more from September until December due to the tropical monsoon season. For more details and statistics about weather and climate please go here

Beaches and Islands

Koh Nang Yuan consists of three small islands connected by a double sided white beach in the middle. On the middle island, which also is the smallest, you will find the Nang Yuan Dive Resort. You can conveniently book a room on this resort online below.

Environmental Concern

Please keep Nang Yuan clean and throw all your waste in a garbage can. Do not pick up corals or shells or keep as souvenirs. They belong to the ocean, not in a bookcase.

If we all get a little aware and concerned of the vulnerability of the nature and the wildlife here, coming generations will also be able to explore the beauty of Koh Nang Yuan and all the other islands in the region.
