More Rain

Text by Olle - Living on Lamai Beach - Thuesday, November 9, 2010

The weekend has been really okay with mixed weather. Yesterday we never went to the mechanic, the day flew by and I guess we will wait with that. Luckily the car has started great every time since then. We all took a trip to the veterinary with Nala, she has got really bad skin again and she eats less so she seem to be back to normal that way but we still have to deal with the rashes. At the veterinary she got more of the same shampoo that she got the last time and also some new medicine that are applied in the neck just as many of the anti lick treatments. This should be done 2 more times so we re still far from finished with the weekly trips to the vet and honestly, I do not think they will be able to treat her but we cannot give up either so I will contact a vet in Sweden and see what they say about it after this last treatment is over.

In the afternoon we went to Nathon, the electricity was out again at home. We strolled around on a market by the harbor for a long time and then sat down and ate some food by the water edge. The sky actually was blue in many places and the ocean was completely still so it was really nice.

The idea was that Jessica and Baeng, her boyfriend, would head back home this morning but they arrived to me very late in the morning and I said they would not make it to the ferry in time but we drove off anyway, and yes, they did not make it. Baeng was happy about it because he did not want to leave. They could have waited a few hours and take the second bus but they changed their minds and wanted to stay an extra day. While I drov ethem to the ferry Nui drove Khun to school but when we all got back home Khun was at home as well. He had been all alone in school. The weather was apparently to bad to have the school open which I found a little strange. During the day Khun came up with the idea of going with Jessica and Baeng to Phuket so after some planning the deal was that he could go for only a few days, since the school was closed that did not matter. They will then come back here. Jessica and Beang will maybe relocate and hey will stay here one month when they return to see what the think about living here.

The weather today has been dreadful with more rain than before. I guess Chweng is in extremely deep water and even here where we live the neighbors who lived here all their lives said they never seen this much water here before. We had more than 30 cm of water running by on the street outside the house.
