I Am Heading Away

Text by Olle - Living on Lamai Beach - Thursday, May 6, 2010

Today was another day filled with music and I got what I wanted to have done just in time because tomorrow I am heading away to Malaysia.

I woke up this morning by the sound of heavy rain and I think it was raining for a couple of hours. That was more than needed since we have not had much rain in ages. When we got up there were dark clouds up in the mountains but a clear blue sky in the other direction. For a while it was hard to guess what the day would be like but the dark clouds never left the mountains and we had a hot day with sun.

Tonight I will try to sleep early, as if I did not know already that it will not happen. I guess I will have plenty of time to sleep on the bus tomorrow anyway. With some things to eat along with my iPod I think I will be OK. The good thing is that I will not do the regular trip but be away one night as well so if I force myself to see it from the bright side it could be an adventure of some kind.

I also hope that Nala will be OK, Nui does not want to walk as regular when I am not around. First off she can really test people when I am not there and if she feels like running away or so there are plenty of power that has to be stopped. Also if she just want to play it can be a hard time knowing what to do and how to stop her. If not really sure it can be a little scary for sure. Even people used to dogs have been very uncertain what to do. It will most certainly be fine but with some test from Nala which I think they will be able to handle by now.

I wish you a good weekend in advance.

Less Time

Text by Olle - Living on Lamai Beach - Wednesday, May 5, 2010

This week I have not had that much time to write. I have been working a lot on music projects and also been to the gym two times already this week. The weather is still crazy hot most days and my walks are not as long as before.

I also had a plan to go to Malaysia but the trip I was planning to go on only departed on Tuesdays and this week they had the day off. Instead I will go on my own instead of a with the minivan tours. If everything works out as I planned this will be my last trip of this kind and I really hope it is. I am really happy that I have been able to obtain these one year visas I had during the years but not having to go away every third month would be even better so now not shoot for that.

My throat infection finally seems to be completely gone thanks to a dose of penicillin and I can now keep on with my training as usual which lately been only two or three times a week. In the weekend my wish came true and we finally had one day with clouds and even some rain that made the temperature drop a few degrees. At sunday I was working and then we took a trip to the beach to just relax for a while.

It also came to my mind that I think I never said that the roadwork that was going so well around the island stopped for many months ago leaving the north and west side of the island without any asphalt and I have not seen any sign of preparations either which I find strange. Happily we do not drive that way very often but can enjoy the new road.
